Bobbie is thrilled to be turning 81 years old and still writing and performing songs and hosting cabaret shows. his photo was taken in 2019. Several noted and loved performers will join her to entertain you in her ZOOM Birthday celebration! Among them are Sue Matsuki, Meg Flather, David Friedman & Shawn Moninger, Michael Colby, Natasha Castillo, Renee Katz, etc. Matthew Martin Ward will play for Bobbie and others who are performing and he will perform a song he wrote. Plus: David Slone - Bobbie’s son, who graduated from Cornell Arts & Sciences and Cornell Law School and is both an attorney and manages and a performs in ‘The Love Show! ” will perform.!
Bobbie Horowitz was a “Kid From Brooklyn” who started writing songs in camp and later became President of New Utrecht High School, where she also wrote songs for “Sing” with her future MAC songwriting partner Sharon Spector. “Horowitz & Spector” later won a MAC Award. Bobbie is a multi-MAC Award winner (winning in 1988, 2016, 2017 & 2019)
Before following her heart to entertainment Bobbie attended the Labor Relations School at Cornell University, from which she graduated first in her class! Upon graduation, she worked in her dad’s law firm. Her dad represented the New York Hotel Association and she got to know great entertainers from the time she was 5 years old. She realized she had to be in entertainment and she enrolled in studies with Stella Adler and acted in theater. Bobbie has remained in the Cabaret Community and has also produced theater. She’s presently writing the book and lyrics to a new musical for which she plans to have a reading of in late June. She’s also written a book “Fit and Fabulous From Fifty Forward!”
