Born and raised in Russia, KATHERINE ALEXANDRA began her musical education at the age of 4. She graduated SUMMA CUM LAUDE from Moscow Conservatory with a specialty in Concert Piano Performance, while studying voice. As an international concert pianist, she won the Rachmaninov Russian Competition and the 5th International Competition of Young Pianists in Germany. She has performed with the Russian Symphony Orchestra in Russia and in Spain, her second home before moving to the US where she began studying with acclaimed vocal coach Carlo Thomas. From concerts, films, and musical productions in Russia and Spain, she now performs regularly here in the US, displaying her rare piano and vocal talent.
Born in the Philippines, Alex Dilan arrived at the US when he was 7 and started piano lessons. By 9 he was dissecting orchestrations. At Depaul University of Chicago, he received his Bachelors in Composition, and at the prestigious Northwestern University in Illinois, he received his Masters in Composition under Harvard composer Dr. Jay Alan Yim. As an organist, he studied with Don Komar, mastering classic repertoire as well as jazz and improvisation. Alex is the exclusive composer, lyricist, arranger, and keyboardist for Katherine Alexandra. He is currently working on an epic musical based on Russian Czar Nicholas Romanov and his wife Alexandra. In his spare time, he is an accomplished organist and can play Flight of the Bumblebees with his feet, thanks to his ongoing studies with renowned organist Maestro Hector Olivera. He is Music Director at St Thomas More Catholic Church, Sarasota, conducting four choirs, and playing all services.
