Ed Asner (Lou Grant in THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW) will perform a one man comedy titled A Man and his Prostate written by Ed. Weinberger.
The story is about Ed Weinberger and his health issue while vacationing in Europe. After collapsing after being diagnosed he was successfully treated by "the best urologist in Italy" who trimmed his prostate and removed bladder stones.
Ed Weinberger is perhaps best known for his hit series, "The Cosby Show" and "Taxi." As an Executive producer, his numerous series credits include "Amen," "Dear John" and "Sparks." One of MTM Enterprises core founders, Along with other television giants, James L. Brooks, David Davis, Allan Burns, and Stan Daniels, Weinberger produced mega-hits "Mary Tyler Moore," "Phyllis" and "The Betty White Show" among others, which he also wrote and created.Winning 9 out of 12 Emmy nominations, a Peabody Award, Writers Guild of America Lifetime Achievement Award, and 3 Golden Globes, this Philadelphian began his career writing for stand-up comedians including Dick Gregory and Richard Pryor and "The Tonight Show, Starring Johnny Carson."
