Irenka Jakubiak
Irenka Jakubiak has been performing in NYC cabaret clubs since her stint in 2006 at the Perry Mansfield Art of Cabaret Workshop in Steamboat, Colorado where she met and studied with Karen Mason, Andrea Marcovicci, Barry Kleinbort, and musical director David Gaines (who is accompanying her tonight). It’s also where she met Gretchen Reinhagen who directed her many shows, most notably “Head Trip, My Travels With Edith Head” that chronicled her professional relationship with the iconic Hollywood costume designer which debuted in 2016 at The Metropolitan Room. Irenka’s 35+ year career in the fashion industry as fashion director, trend forecaster, and product developer spanned retail, manufacturing, and licensing at Vogue Patterns, Lord & Taylor, Kenneth Cole, Adrienne Vittadini and Nine West, as well as editor-in-chief of Accessories Magazine. As a fashion trend expert, she appeared on The Today Show, the Oprah Winfrey Show, Good Day New York, and Today in New York. Irenka is a member of the Manhattan Association of Cabaret performers (MAC) and is also an actress who has performed in Off-Off Broadway Theater productions.
Maria Giorgio
MG & the Orbs entered the NY music scene in 2011 entertaining in restaurants and music venues with a unique act. They utilized backing tracks and live musicians for a rich full sound, resulting in a show which encompassed several different styles of music, with special guests vocalists for diversity. Presently, they are focused on Blues, R&B, and Originals written by MG, performed by all live musicians. Maria Giorgio loves to share the mic, and open up the stage for many talented personalities. Thus resulting in tonight's Talent Night, where she will introduce you to some outstanding performances, including her own.
